I was born and raised here in this beautiful valley. After attending the University of Northern Colorado, where I majored in Special Education with an emphasis in Elementary Education, I returned here to the valley as a Special Education Teacher for the last 8 years with the school district. I have always had a passion for kids and I'm excited for the opportunity to continue working with the future generation in a different capacity!
My husband, Tyler is from the Midwest and we have an energetic young son named Jackson. I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, playing board games, going on drives, hiking, camping, and finding new lakes, rivers, and waterfalls.
I not only have a passion for kids but also in education in all the areas of academic, social-emotional, life skills, communication, and fine/gross motor. I believe in a whole child approach to teaching and love every aspect of the challenge that presents! I also find high importance in teaching about and sharing Jesus simultaneously. My favorite Bible verse is one I strive to live out and teach others around me to as well: Romans 12:2 - "Do not be conformed to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind."
