Sara Carlton

Toddler Team/Assistant Director

I was born in Texas and moved to Colorado with my family when I was 7 years old. I fell in love with the mountains and knew that I wanted to live here one day. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado and worked as an elementary teacher for a few years. I moved to the Vail Valley in 2013 and decided to give early childhood education a try, finding that caring for and teaching children in their earliest years is my true passion. I went back to school to earn my Director's License in Early Childhood Education.

My sweet husband, Michael, and I have two precious daughters, Lyla and Nora. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, playing the piano, reading, camping, playing cards and board games, grabbing coffee with friends and exploring new places with my family.

My favorite thing about working with children is getting to spend each day with little people who are so joyful, adorable, silly, cuddly and sweet. God has made each one so uniquely, and I'm thankful for the opportunity to be a part of their growth in this special season of life.

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'” Matthew 19:14
