History

The Vail Church’s Child Development Center (TVCDC) was established after a local Christian school relocated to a new campus leaving a large physical space to be re-envisioned and re-purposed at The Vail Church. At the time, demands for early childcare providers in the Vail Valley were increasing more rapidly than the resources available.

The Vail Church, already displaying a commitment to young families, recognized this community need and pursued the opportunity to be a part of the specific solution. As a result, TVCDC was formed in 2009 as a non-profit organization dedicated to providing excellent childcare and resources geared toward family health and valley longevity.

In its beginning, TVCDC started with one room of babies and teachers living out their passion to love and care for them. The end goal now, as then, is to be an attentive staff fully committed to addressing the holistic needs of children and their families. While this ideal includes the utilization of best early childhood practices, it also goes beyond the status quo to include an emphasis on the spiritual development of the child.   Through a Christian worldview we provide various avenues of exploration, understanding, and growth to children and their families.

Today the Center has maxed out its physical capacity and includes seven classrooms serving approximately 80 families with infants through preschoolers. As a Center, we incorporate processes for growth and improvement and will continue to pursue education as we implement advancements in early childhood practice as part of our commitment to providing excellent care in a loving Christ centered community!
